Wolseley is nestled in the picturesque Breede River Valley. Situated 14 km from Tulbagh, 15 km from Ceres. Wolseley is surrounded by the majestic Waaihoek, Witzen and Waterval mountains which are often covered by a blanket of snow in the winter. All kinds of farming are present such as fruit, vegetable, wine, olives, wheat, dairy and cattle. There are two blockhouses dating from the Anglo-Boer War (1901) which can be seen along the railway line to the South of the town. These Blockhouses are in a remarkable condition and can be visited by means of appointment. 
 
Waverley Hills Organic Wine and Olives:
Visitors can enjoy sampling the estate’s wine olive products in the tasting room or dine in the restaurant which boasts panoramic views of the valley. There is also a short hiking trail and a wonderful play area with jungle gym for children. 023 231 0002
 
Historic Block Houses:
There are two blockhouses dating from the Anglo-Boer War (1901) which can be seen along the railway line to the South of the town. These blockhouses give a wonderful historical perspective of life in a Blockhouse during the Anglo-Boer War and the importance bestowed upon them by the British. These Blockhouses are in a remarkable condition and can be visited by means of appointment
