Ceres, also known as the “Eden of the Cape”, is the gateway to the Cederberg area. The valley produces the finest deciduous fruit in South Africa. Also well-known for its fresh and dried fruit, fruit juices and natural spring water. The Ceres area is all but quiet.  Here you can be adventurous where you can Zipline the longest Tour in Africa. During the winter months, the mountains are often covered in snow and the area has been referred to as Little Switzerland. There are plenty of snow activities such as skiing and snowboarding to keep the whole family busy.

Klondyke Cherry picnic site:
During season, (Nov/Dec) guests pick their own cherries and are welcome to spend the day on the farm. Picnic and braai in the shade of pine trees. Book: 023 312 1521
 
Matroosberg Mountain Resort:
Matroosberg Peak is the highest point in the Boland and the 4 x 4 route takes you up to 2 240 km above sea. The presence of snow turns a 4 x 4 Drive during winter into a unique experience. Cut off time is 11 am. 023 312 2282 or 073 1940885
